Report: WWE Planning To Do More Viral Teases Following Success Of White Rabbit

Could WWE build off the success of the White Rabbit?

It’s the saga that has had wrestling fans gripped over the past few weeks; just who is WWE’s ‘White Rabbit’?

The viral campaign has been the topic of much discussion amongst wrestling fans and industry professionals alike, and The Wrestling Observer Newsletter’s Dave Meltzer reports that WWE will do more viral teaser campaigns in the future due to the success of the ‘White Rabbit’.

Merchandise sales for the White Rabbit have been very strong in recent weeks, with the belief that it’s all leading up to a Bray Wyatt/Fiend return.

In the past, similar campaigns have ran for the likes of Chris Jericho in WWE, but never to this level, with QR codes and social media driving the campaign rather than just vague TV vignettes.

Meltzer noted that in these days where traditional TV ratings are not the be-all-end-all for wrestling, big name returns and surprise arrivals of marquee talent does help ratings for both WWE and AEW, with the likes of CM Punk and Sting doing solid numbers for AEW across the board. A return for Wyatt would surely deliver similar results for WWE... if indeed he is the White Rabbit.
