Mariah May with the AEW Women's World Title

Mariah May’s future has been at the centre of a lot of talk in the online rumour mill over the last month, with it being reported that her contract expires later this year with AEW, and that her eyes are potentially set on a dream move to WWE.

The former AEW Women’s World Champion has been absent from AEW programming ever since her acclaimed loss to Toni Storm at Revolution 2025, capping off their timeless feud for the gold, with reports suggesting that her lack of commitment to a new deal is the reason behind her not being used. When it comes to her potential next steps in wrestling, WWE are said to have keen interest.

According to a report from WrestleVotes via Backstage Pass, WWE are set to “make an outstanding offer” for Mariah May whenever she becomes available, suggesting that the company is very high on the 26 year old.

It was reported recently that May had informed AEW of her intention to not re-sign with the company prior to her Revolution 2025 match with Toni Storm, perhaps explaining why the pair didn’t end up main eventing the PPV despite a push from fans.
