Report: WWE's Original Plans For Scarlett Revealed
WWE had another pairing planned for Scarlett when she signed in 2019
WWE star Scarlett has acted as the valet/manager of real-life husband Karrion Kross during both spells with the company.
However, those were not the original plans for Scarlett when she initially signed with WWE in 2019.
According to a new report from Fightful Select, WWE originally pitched for Scalett to manage Damian Priest, who was still in NXT at the time.
The report further states that Priest passed up the opportunity, believing it wouldn't be a good fit for his character. There was belief that the act would make it to television up until the week it was vetoed.
Fightful were told that this was within the first few weeks of NXT airing on the USA Network.
Once Priest nixed the idea, Scarlett's debut was postponed until it became apparent that Kross would be joining the company. Fightful was told by those that they spoke to that, in retrospect, everything worked out better for all involved.
Kross and Scarlett were released on the same day (November 4, 2021), only to be brought in August after Paul 'Triple H' Levesque took charge of WWE creative.
