Report: WWE See 'Something Truly Special' In Penta

Penta’s recent arrival in WWE has reportedly caused much excitement in the company, with the sports entertainment giant reportedly seeing ‘something truly special’ in the Mexican star.

The former AEW star’s recent arrival on Raw was a long time coming, and during a recent ‘Town Hall Meeting’ at WWE HQ in Stamford, Connecticut, WWE were pushing Penta and showing ‘sizzle reels’ of his recent WWE appearances, noting that the company feel they see something special in Penta, with the amount of social media engagement his WWE appearances have garnered thus far highlighted.

Penta’s early merch sales have reportedly pleased WWE, and he is set to be factored in for prominent spots at both the Royal Rumble on February 1 and WrestleMania 41.

It’s been no secret that WWE have long been searching for a Mexican star to help bolster their popularity south of the border, with a proverbial ‘Rey Mysterio successor’ having been on WWE’s wish list for well over a decade.

Penta is expected to be joined in WWE by his brother Rey Fenix when the former AAA Mega Champion's contract with AEW expires.
