The success of AEW Double or Nothing is said to have intensified feelings of discontent backstage.

Several WWE Superstars are reportedly 'counting the days' until their contracts expire, according to Dave Meltzer of
Wrestling Observer Radio.
According to Meltzer's sources, a lot of talent are itching to be free of their contracts, especially given the success and quality of AEW's debut event, Double or Nothing.
WWE are said to have responded by trying to convince their roster that their company is a great place to work, with Stephanie McMahon reportedly giving a 'pep talk' to the NXT Superstars prior to this week's set of tapings at Full Sail University. The company is also apparently representing itself as a place where Superstars are able to be their own brand, a standpoint in direct contradiction with many of Jon Moxley's complaints following his departure from WWE.
Meltzer also claimed that WWE are dissuading Superstars from leaving, saying that once they're out the door, their careers are effectively over. Again, with interest in non-WWE alternatives surging as of late, one has to dispute the validity of this reported claim.
