Report: WWE Talent Speculating Over Potential Company Sale

Could Vince McMahon really sell WWE?

There has reportedly been a lot of speculation backstage in WWE about the company potentially being sold down the line.

WWE has released a large amount of talent and officials in the weeks and months since WrestleMania 37, confirming ten main-roster departures in early April such as Samoa Joe, Chelsea Green and The IIconics, before a number of NXT talent were released last month.

Those on-screen departures were quickly followed by mass lay-offs in office and backstage positions, reportedly across the company's digital, production and international divisions, as WWE looked to streamline their internal resources.

The promotion have now released another six talent from main-roster positions in one of the more surprising set of departures so far, with the likes of Braun Strowman and Aleister Black being allowed to leave, and Fightful Select is reporting that these particular releases have led to talent in the company wondering what the endgame is for WWE.

With people wondering what WWE are hoping to achieve, some talent have started speculating that a sale of the company might be the end goal, although WWE officials have not commented on that in any capacity.
