Report: WWE Unhappy With NXT Crowd Reactions

WWE reportedly want better crowd reactions for NXT

WWE are reportedly unhappy with recent NXT crowd reactions, with the company reportedly asking NXT stars to help with boosting audience participation during TV tapings.

Crowds for NXT’s Tuesday TV tapings have reportedly been down - affecting the atmosphere - and a report from The Wrestling Observer Newsletter’s Dave Meltzer reveals that WWE sent notice to all NXT talent and crew ‘strongly encouraging’ them to inform friends and family in the central Florida area of the NXT tapings. The purpose of the notice was to inject some fresh engaged faces into the crowd for the recent TV tapings ahead of NXT Stand & Deliver on March 31.

Meltzer reports that the notice asked for ‘help bringing energy to the crowd in the final shows’ taped on March 21, with the upcoming March 28 edition of NXT TV also pre-recorded ahead of WrestleMania weekend.

Since NXT moved from Full Sail University to the WWE Performance Center in October 2020, many fans have been critical of the atmosphere in the PC for NXT broadcasts, with the raucous energy of Full Sail seemingly lost in the move.
