Report: WWE Weren't Interested In Jack Perry, Didn't See Him As A Good Fit

Jack Perry won't be leaving All Elite Wrestling anytime soon after putting pen to paper on a new contract with AEW, but it has been revealed the former Jungle Boy had few options outside of the promotion.

WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select has reported that there were little to no discussions within WWE about the possibility of looking to sign Jack Perry if he became a free agent. There was "never much of an appetite" about bringing Jack Perry into WWE and the prevailing feeling within the organisation was the former AEW TNT Champion didn't fit in WWE's current landscape.

There is no word on why WWE were so negative about the prospect of signing Jack Perry, but the former Jungle Boy was involved in an altercation with current Undisputed WWE Champion CM Punk at AEW All In 2023 which resulted in CM Punk's firing.

Prior to it being announced at Dynamite Beach Break that Jack Perry had re-signed with AEW, his contract had been just days away from expiring. Perry has been a part of AEW since January 2019, and in addition to his TNT Title reign, he is a former AEW National Champion, FTW Champion, and AEW World Tag Team Champion with Luchasaurus.
