Report: WWE Women’s Division Star Potentially Returning

A big name could be returning to WWE’s Women’s Division

WWE’s women’s division has been criticised by some over the last 12 months for feeling shallow in depth, with several notable stars missing from the division.

However, a report from PWInsider states that Lacey Evans is slated to be at WWE’s SmackDown taping in Milwaukee on April 8, with the ‘Sassy Southern Belle’ having been absent from WWE TV since February 2021.

Evans recently welcomed her second child into the world, with the announcement of her pregnancy coming during a major angle with Charlotte and Ric Flair, altering plans for the division in 2021, including a reported WWE Raw Women’s Championship win over Asuka at Elimination Chamber.

Lacey announced her pregnancy live on WWE TV with the kayfabe speculation that Ric Flair was the father, however WWE and Evans confirmed the pregnancy was legit, and the angle was dropped as a result.

After signing a developmental deal with WWE in 2016, Evans wrestled on NXT before being called up to WWE’s main roster in 2019, notably being one of the first women to wrestle in Saudi Arabia when Evans took on Natalya at Crown Jewel 2019.
