Report: WWE WrestleMania 42 Main Event To Be Heavily Teased In WarGames Match At Survivor Series

While the match won't be made official, the main event of WWE WrestleMania 42 will be made clear to fans following the men's WarGames match at Survivor Series, and the interaction between CM Punk, Cody Rhodes, and Roman Reigns on the go-home episode of Raw was also designed to be a tease for Mania.

That is according to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, who said:

"I was given the impression that the WrestleMania main event - on Saturday there will be teases that will help you figure out who the WrestleMania main event will be. Certainly on Monday, the tease on Monday was absolutely a tease for the main event which would lead you to believe it's Roman Reigns challenging either Cody Rhodes or Punk."

Ibou of Self Made also noted that the WrestleMania main event would be clear following the post-Survivor Series episodes of WWE TV.

"Heyman is essentially giving it away here, but as a free scoop, I had been told by someone close to the situation about two weeks ago that the plan was to make the WrestleMania main event clear coming out of WarGames and on the week of television following Survivor Series. I'd imagine it'd be similar to when they had Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns face off on the fall 2023 SmackDown season premiere to tell you that was still on track for WM40," Ibou tweeted.

The men's WarGames match will see Cody Rhodes, CM Punk, Roman Reigns, Jey Uso, and Jimmy Uso take on Drew McIntyre and The Vision of Brock Lesnar, Logan Paul, Bron Breakker, and Bronson Reed.

Issues on the go-home episode of WWE Raw saw Roman Reigns, Cody Rhodes and CM Punk argue over who the leader of the babyface WarGames team was.

Roman Reigns vs. Cody Rhodes was the main event of WrestleMania 39 and WrestleMania XL. Roman Reigns and CM Punk, meanwhile, clashed in a Triple Threat with Seth Rollins in the main event of WrestleMania 41 night 1.
