Reports: Matt Riddle's Sexual Assault Claim Under Investigation

NYC authorities are taking Matt Riddle's claim seriously.

An internal investigation has been launched after WWE star Matt Riddle accused a New York City airport policeman of sexual assault, according to TMZ

The 37-year-old made the allegation on Sunday, posting a picture of the cop in question on his Instagram page.

TMZ reported that Port Authority officers were called to JFK International Airport with regards to a disorderly person who was deplaning. They spoke with Riddle, along with other witnesses and no police report was filed.

The outlet added that everyone was free to go without incident, noting that the former WWE United States Champion seemed apologetic in the moment.

Despite this, the Port Authority department is taking Riddle's claim seriously and an internal investigation has been launched.

After deleting his post about the officer he accused of the assault, Riddle posted a selfie alongside the caption, "Finally leaving JFK and I never wanna come back here again".

Per a recent report, WWE stopped pushing The Original Bro as a top star due to his personal issues. He was previously sent to WWE-sponsored rehab after being suspended for twice failing the company's Wellness Policy.
