Reports: New Stages & Pyro Coming To WWE Raw & SmackDown Live

Let's see if anything happens tonight!

WWE Raw and SmackDown Live have largely looked the same from a production standpoint since the last brand split took place in the summer of 2016.

With a new brand split happening on the October 11 episode of Friday Night SmackDown and October 14 episode of Raw, WrestleVotes are reporting that both WWE's red and blue brands are getting updated stages.

"This coming week of TV is the final week with the current entrance stage. Both RAW & SmackDown are getting an updated, fresh feeling set," they tweeted.

The same Twitter account is also claiming that pyro will be returning to the weekly WWE shows next week.

These days, you don't see pyro unless you're watching WrestleMania or one of the Super ShowDown series in Saudi Arabia. Although, fireworks were seen at SummerSlam last month so maybe the winds of change have already swept through the company's pyrotechnics departments.

SmackDown Live becomes Friday Night SmackDown when the blue brand show moves from the USA Network to Fox next Friday (October 4).

Raw remains on the USA Network, flanked by the new live two-hour NXT broadcast every Wednesday.
