Retro Rewind On Last Night's Episode Of IMPACT Wrestling

Throwback Throwdown!

IMPACT Wrestling took a break this week from their regularly scheduled programming to bring us Throwback Throwdown - a special, retro episode by the 'Impact Provincial Wrestling Federation' (IPWF).

The show itself was recorded back on October 27th at the Don Kolov Arena in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada.

The IMPACT Wrestling roster was used for the special episode, but many had their names altered, and championships were changed. The show was a throwback to the colourful characters of the 1980's, in which the show did not take itself too seriously.

During an eight person tag match, characters like the lumberjack Timm Burr (Josh Alexander) and construction worker Bill Ding (Trey Miguel) fought The Rough Riders, who hailed "from every man's desires." Joey Ryan was of course renamed Captain Joystick for the evening.

The main event of the episode was a Loser Leaves Town match for the International Commonwealth Television Championship. The challenger Downtown Daddy Brown (Willie Mack) emerged victorious, defeating champion Julian Cumberbun (Ethan Page), despite interference from Cumberbun's manager Sonny Sanders (Sami Callihan).

Catch the full episode this Friday at 11:30pm on 5Star.
