REVEALED: How Much Scott D'Amore Offered Anthem To Buy TNA

Scott D’Amore’s offer to buy TNA from Anthem revealed

Prior to his firing from TNA Wrestling, former President Scott D’Amore is believed to have tabled an offer to buy the promotion from owners Anthem Sports & Entertainment, with Anthem rejecting D’Amore’s offer, before dismissing him from his post.

A fresh report from Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter has shed more light on the proposed deal, with D’Amore believed to have teamed with financial backers to offer Anthem $10 million for the company.

Sources from TNA believe the D’Amore-led consortium valued the promotion between $7 million - $12 million, with the initial offer of $10 million assumed to cover the cost of TNA as a whole, plus additional costs to cover any trade debts racked up by the promotion, leaving Anthem with the round $10 million out of the deal.

Anthem are said to have rejected the offer cold, with no counter offer made by either side.

After D’Amore’s firing, reports emerged stating that Anthem are looking to reduce costs within TNA. Anthem’s reluctance to fund further expansion for TNA in 2024 is believed to be one reason why D’Amore came in with an offer to buy the promotion and run it in his image, and ultimately led to his firing.
