Revealed: Scrapped Plans For Jon Moxley At AEW WrestleDream
Jon Moxley was scheduled to be in action at AEW WrestleDream

All Elite Wrestling were forced to make changes to their WrestleDream pay-per-view at Dynamite Grand Slam due to Jon Moxley's concussion.
Jon Moxley defended the AEW International Championship against Rey Fenix at Dynamite Grand Slam but Moxley suffered a minor concussion before he even entered the ring following a dive to the floor from Fenix. Moxley was originally booked to retain the International Championship but the Blackpool Combat Club member called an audible that led to Rey Fenix winning the title. Referee Rick Knox initially botched the three count, which led to heavy heat on the official.
The audible led to immediate changes to Dynamite Grand Slam, with Fightful Select reporting that a non-AEW wrestler was supposed to come out after Moxley's win and challenge him to a title match at WrestleDream. However, those plans were scrapped after Moxley called the audible to put Rey Fenix over.
Bodyslam.net have since reported that Moxley's opponent at WrestleDream was planned to be NJPW's "Filthy" Tom Lawlor. If Moxley is cleared to return to the ring in time for WrestleDream, the match will be added to the card.
Moxley and Lawlor do have a history, having faced each other previously at a DEFY event in April 2022. Moxley won the match on that occasion.
