REVEALED: When Mercedes Moné Will Debut In AEW

Mercedes Moné’s AEW arrival date revealed

It seems it’s a matter of ‘when’ not ‘if’ Mercedes Moné will debut in All Elite Wrestling, with AEW growing increasingly confident that they’ve landed the former IWGP Women’s Champion.

Rumours about Moné heading to AEW have only intensified in recent weeks, with a forthcoming announcement from Tony Khan scheduled for the February 6 episode of AEW Dynamite further fuelling speculation that Moné is on her way in.

A report from Fightful Select states that whilst it has been implied that Khan’s announcement will be about Moné, they were not told that Moné’s signing would be ‘outright mentioned’ as part of the announcement.

However, the report does state that some within AEW have been told by the promotion and by those close to Moné herself that the former Sasha Banks will be physically appearing for the company in March - likely after the Revolution pay-per-view on March 3 - although no rumours of an in-ring debut have been floated.

WWE were originally in talks with Moné over a return to the company, but these collapsed at the end of 2023. Sources within WWE knew they were out of the running by December 29, 2023, with sources in both WWE and AEW under the impression that Moné has been signed to the latter for weeks at the time of writing.
