Mercedes Moné Expected To Sign With AEW After WWE Talks Break Down

All Elite Wrestling look set to land one of the biggest free agents in professional wrestling.

According to Fightful Select, Mercedes Moné has continued to hold talks with All Elite Wrestling and the expectation is she will join AEW. There is no confirmation if she has signed on the dotted line as of yet but AEW talents in the past have not put pen to paper on their physical contracts until the day of their scheduled appearances.

One source told Fightful that AEW and Moné were close to terms but "it's never official until it's official." Moné is believed to be looking for one of the biggest contracts in women's wrestling history. 

Plans were in place for Moné and AEW to work together back in the Summer of 2023 for when she recovered from an ankle injury that has kept her out of action since May. Those plans were off the table as of December due to the two sides being far apart on terms but talks appear to have continued beyond the collapse of Moné's negotiations with WWE over a return.
