A new estimate indicates the 2022 edition of Revolution was All Elite Wrestling's second-biggest pay-per-view since the promotion was founded in January 2019.
Initial estimates placed pay-per-view buys between 146,000 and 170,000, but in an updated figure from Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Revolution did at least 165,000 buys due to fans buying the show following March 6.
"Real big late buys. The number that we talked about last week, it's probably very low compared to what the real number is going to be...Easily number two now. Before it was probably number two but not necessarily. Now, yeah, number two and probably minimum I would say 165,000-170,000. In that range. So real big number. Real successful," Meltzer said on Wrestling Observer Radio.
AEW's biggest pay-per-view to date remains All Out 2021 which drew 205,000 buys. The previous second-most-bought event was Full Gear 2021 which finished with 145,000 buys.
AEW Revolution featured several high-profile matches, including Hangman Page vs. Adam Cole for the AEW World Title, CM Punk vs. MJF in a Dog Collar Match and Chris Jericho vs. Eddie Kingston.
