NJPW New Japan Cup 2022 Day 9 Results

Two more third round matches of the 2022 New Japan Cup took place today at New Japan Pro-Wrestling's show from Okayama.

Along with the usual tag team matches, Jeff Cobb went one on one with YOSHI-HASHI while Tetsuya Naito took on Hiroshi Tanahashi in the main event.

• Hirooki Goto, Kazuchika Okada & YOH def. DOUKI, Minoru Suzuki & Taichi
• Jeff Cobb def. YOSHI-HASHI - New Japan Cup
• Tetsuya Naito def. Hiroshi Tanahashi - New Japan Cup

With their wins, Jeff Cobb and Tetsuya Naito will face each other in the quarter-finals on March 20. Naito won their most recent encounter at Wrestle Kingdom 16 earlier this year. 

The third round of the New Japan Cup will continue on Thursday, March 17.
