Rhea Ripley Agrees To New Long-Term WWE Deal
WWE tie down Rhea Ripley to new long-term deal
Oct 11, 2024
It seems as though ‘Mami’ is staying put, with the news that Rhea Ripley has agreed to a new long term deal with WWE.
It was recently suggested that WWE were ‘aggressively’ approaching several stars over new deals - including Ripley - in order to secure their long-term futures, and a report from PWInsider suggests that WWE and Ripley have agreed to new terms.
The report states that Ripley has yet to sign the deal but WWE sources suggest it’s only ‘a matter of time’, with all terms agreed to. There’s no word on the dollar amount of this new alleged five-year contract, but it will no doubt be substantial, with Ripley one of WWE’s biggest and most popular stars. Indeed it’s believed the former Women’s World Champion will be getting a ‘considerable’ raise.
Ripley has been with WWE since 2017, initially competing in the Mae Young Classic Tournament before joining NXT. In WWE, Ripley is a Triple Crown and Grand Slam Champion, having held the NXT and NXT UK Women’s Championships, the WWE and World Women’s Championships, and the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships (with Nikki A.S.H.). Ripley was also the winner of the 2023 Women’s Royal Rumble match.
