WWE 'Very Aggressive' In Sorting New Deals For Top Stars
WWE looking to tie down top stars to new deals
WWE have signed many top stars to new deals in 2024, with Sheamus the latest major star to put pen-to-paper on a new deal.
In several cases, WWE have waited until talents were in the final months of their current contracts before entering negotiations over a new deal, but a report from PWInsider states WWE have changed tact and are ‘aggressively’ looking to tie down multiple major talents to new deals.
Per the report, Rhea Ripley, Nia Jax, and WWE Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan have been approached with new deals - amongst others - with WWE looking to lock these talents in despite them having significant time left on their current agreements.
It’s not been said if this is WWE’s approach going forward, or if they are treating contracts on a case-by-case basis depending on the talent involved.
2024 has seen several talents leave WWE at the expiration of their deals, with Ricochet heading over to All Elite Wrestling after his WWE run ended, whilst multi-time WWE Women’s Champion Becky Lynch has stepped away from pro-wrestling for the time being to concentrate on motherhood and other endeavours.
