Sheamus Confirmed To Have Re-Signed With WWE
Sheamus is staying in WWE
WWE star Sheamus has signed a contract extension with the company.
On the Septmeber 17 edition of The Pat McAfee Show, the WWE commentator broke the news, saying "We are incredibly lucky to announce that 'Mr. Banger After Banger' himself, Sheamus, the big fella, has officially signed an extension with the WWE".
The length of the deal was not disclosed.
The 46-year-old returned to WWE in April following an eight-month layoff due to a shoulder injury. The multi-time world champion at one point believed the injury might end his in-ring career, tweeting:
"The road back to the ring is slow, rough and unimaginally [sic] painful. 2 months ago i thought i was hanging up my boots for good but a lot of doctors, trainers and physios helped get me cleared to do what i love.. fight".
Last year, The Celtic Warrior had expressed frustration with his recent WWE creative and noted that many on the roster were "begging" to have the same time afforded to matches and segments featuring Roman Reigns.
Sheamus is currently feuding with former Brawling Brutes teammate Pete Dunne, having previously complained about the way the stable had been booked.
