WWE Saturday Night's Main Event Return Date Confirmed

The first quarterly special will take place in December.

WWE have confirmed the return date for Saturday Night's Main Event, revealing that it will take place on December 14.

The show will emanate from the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum, the site of the first-ever edition of Saturday Night's Main Event. It will be broadcast live on NBC in the United States and simulcast on Peacock.

Featured in advertising for the show are Cody Rhodes, Roman Reigns, Liv Morgan, Bianca Belair and Seth Rollins.

The return of Saturday Night's Main Event is part of WWE's new domestic media rights partnership with NBC Universal, which saw SmackDown return to the USA Network last week. The primetime specials will air quarterly.

Saturday Night's Main Event may also be the site of the WWE return of Jesse 'The Body' Ventura, according to reports. Ventura was used as an announcer and interviewer during the initial run of the show in the 1980s.

Saturday Night's Main Event originally ran between 1985 and 1991. It was revived for five episodes between 2006 and 2008, while WWE in recent years has used the term Saturday Night's Main Event for non-televised live events.
