Becky Lynch Officially A Free Agent As WWE Deal Expires

Becky Lynch has officially left WWE following end of her contract

For the first time since 2013, Becky Lynch is not a WWE superstar. As reported by Fightful Select, Becky Lynch is officially a free agent after the expiration of her WWE deal. It had been reported in recent weeks that Lynch was in the latter stages of her WWE contract, and that there had been no new deal signed or agreed to, with the thinking that Lynch was to take time away from professional wrestling.

Lynch’s time away from the business is now a reality, per the report, and that WWE were well aware of Lynch’s intentions to not sign a new deal right now, with her taking an extended period away from the ring. The report reveals that there was no last minute deal signed, though WWE have made it known to Lynch that they do want to continue working together. The expectation is that some big offers will now come the way of Lynch, with it being reported this week that AEW are expected to throw out a big offer.

Lynch was a world champion in WWE as recently as last week, and Fightful’s report noted that WWE felt it would be better for the story if Lynch won the WWE Women’s World Title despite her being on her way out, as there was no question that she would comply and “do business”.
