TNA Carries Out Backstage Shake-Up

Firings within TNA

Changes are being made behind the scenes within TNA Wrestling.

According to Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, "there is a lot of stuff going on behind the scenes" within TNA and key people in the promotion have been fired. There is no word on who has been fired beyond that RD Evans, one of the key figures on the TNA creative team, resigned at some point in the past week.

RD Evans had been a part of TNA for several years, having joined the company shortly after he resigned from WWE. Evans famously quit WWE during the 2019 Hall of Fame ceremony as he produced the Hart Foundation speech which featured a mention of Vince McMahon. Bret Hart mentioning him during the speech was so egregious in McMahon's eyes that Evans quit the company before Vince could fire him.

TNA Wrestling has gone through a number of changes in 2024. The company returned to the 'TNA' name at the beginning of the year, moving away from IMPACT Wrestling. TNA President Scott D'Amore was then fired by Anthem due to disagreements over how the promotion should move forward.

TNA have established a working relationship with WWE in recent weeks that will see crossover between TNA IMPACT and NXT.
