Report: MJF Expected To Make AEW Return Soon

MJF has been absent from All Elite Wrestling since All Out on September 7, but it seems ‘Our Scumbag’ could be back soon.

After being written off TV by Daniel Garcia at the pay per view, MJF has been away shooting Happy Gilmore 2, with the former AEW World Champion believed to have a significant role in the sequel to Adam Sandler’s 1996 cult classic golf comedy.

A report from Fightful Select says that MJF still has some additional filming to do on the project but is expected back in AEW ‘soon’, and has also bagged another movie role on a project featuring Justin Long and Ron Perlman, although details have not been revealed as to when this project will be shooting, nor indeed what the project is.

When MJF does return to an AEW ring there are certainly storyline options waiting for him. With Daniel Garcia recently pledging his future to the company there’s every chance the two could reignite their feud, whilst the recently returned Jay White also has unfinished business with the former ROH World Tag Team Champion.
