Despite being signed to All Elite Wrestling, Ric Flair is apparently able to make appearances for WWE should such an offer arise.

Flair recently suggested he would be unable to appear at the upcoming WrestleMania 41 if invited due to his contract with AEW, but in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer suggests that Flair’s contract is ‘not very restrictive’ and he could do something in WWE if he wanted to. Whether this means Flair would have carte blanche on what kind of appearance he’d make or if he’d likely only be able to work with daughter Charlotte Flair is unknown.

The ‘Nature Boy’ signed with AEW in late 2023 as part of the build to long-time rival Sting’s last match at Revolution 2024. Flair’s deal is believed to have been paid for by Wooooo! Energy as part of a sponsorship deal with AEW, but according to Meltzer, this has ‘fallen apart’.

AEW have not used the multi-time world champion in over 13 months, and although AEW could market Flair and use his likeness for merchandise, action figures, or video games, it is believed there are no plans to do so at this point in time.
