IMPACT Wrestling have signed a former world champion to a new deal.

Rich Swann revealed on Insight with Chris Van Vliet that he has signed a two-year extension with IMPACT Wrestling.

"I've signed a two-year deal with IMPACT Wrestling. They have done nothing but treat me with the utmost respect. It's been a place to where I've been able to grow, I've been able to watch other competitors grow and I've been able to watch the company grow into a spot to where it should be," Swann said.

"Wrestling, right now, is prospering. AEW is doing great, WWE has turned around and doing great. IMPACT Wrestling, the experience I've had, ever since I started in 2018, has been nothing but love, nothing but prospering and watching the company grow into what it is today. To be part of that and helping that after all the years of people saying, 'IMPACT is going to die, TNA is dead,' to be part of that and helping the company to where it is today, that makes me feel good and lets me know that I'm doing something right in this industry."

Swann made his IMPACT debut in June 2018 and he would win the X-Division Championship soon after, capturing the gold in January 2019. He would lose the title after 194 days but Swann's push in IMPACT continued as he defeated Eric Young to win the IMPACT World Title at Bound for Glory 2020.

Swann remained IMPACT Wrestling's top star until Rebellion 2021 when he dropped the IMPACT World Title to Kenny Omega. Since then, the 31-year-old has largely competed in the tag team division and mid-card and he had a 35-day reign as Digital Media Champion earlier this year.

Speaking about his goals in IMPACT, Swann noted he wants to become a Grand Slam Champion and win the IMPACT World Tag Team Titles with either Willie Mack or WWE's Ricochet.
