Ricky Saints Reveals What He Thinks About 'Tony Fumbled' Chants

Ricky Saints has experienced a successful start to his NXT career, quickly becoming the NXT North American Champion in a recent title win over Shawn Spears. His recent performances have been serenaded in the chants of ‘Tony Fumbled’ by NXT fans in reference to AEW President Tony Khan, particularly when it comes to interactions with fellow AEW alumni Ethan Page and Shawn Spears. 

Saints was asked about the ‘Tony Fumbled’ chants in an interview with Good Karma Wrestling, and issued his thoughts on the voices of the NXT fans. 

“My reaction is — it’s not about what happened in the past. It’s about like, let’s focus on now and my work that I’m doing now. I appreciate the sentiment that they care about me and have opinions about the situation, but, you know, let’s not put somebody else down.”

Saints parted ways with AEW earlier this year in a move that was expected by Tony Khan, reportedly due to his connections with Cody Rhodes. Speaking about his time in AEW, Saints previously noted that some ‘veterans’ were sticking their noses in his creative.
