Riddle Names Rob Van Dam As His WWE Dream Opponent

Riddle has named WWE Hall Of Famer Rob Van Dam as his dream match.

Riddle and RVD share a number of character traits, with WWE even showing both of them on-screen at WrestleMania 37 as the recently inducted Hall Of Famer gave the-then United States Champion some of his personally branded rolling papers. 

Riddle was asked during a recent interview who he would bring back for a one-off match and, while the 35-year-old also mentioned Kurt Angle, Riddle believes he and RVD could have an 'insane' bout.

Speaking to Sony Sports India, Riddle said: "If I had to bring back somebody for one match, well Kurt Angle wouldn't be bad, he's really good but let's do something different. If I could bring back one legend to wrestle me in WWE, just for fun, for a little showcase match, I'd have to bring back RVD.

"I'd have to bring back Rob Van Dam. His style is just very intense and impactful and my style is similar but different. So I just think with the two of us, especially if we pushed the pace, it would probably be an insane match. So yeah, I would say Rob Van Dam."
