Ridge Holland's WWE Contract Terminated Early Following Social Media Posts

Ridge Holland's WWE deal was originally due to come to an end on November 14, but the former NXT Tag Team Champion is now no longer a part of the company.

Fightful Select has reported that WWE have terminated Ridge Holland's contract early. The word within the company is that WWE considered some of Holland's recent social media posts to be a breach, which led to the decision to release Holland from his deal early. It has been suggested Holland won't be paid for the period from his termination to his original contract expiry date.

Holland - real name Luke Menzies - had recently expressed his frustration over being informed his contract would be allowed to expire on November 14 despite the 37-year-old currently being out of action for at least several months due to an injury he suffered while wrestling for TNA as a WWE representative. Menzies noted on social media that he felt like he had been "hung out to dry" by WWE and was worried about how to pay his mortgage.

Menzies wrote on X/Twitter:

"I never thought I'd not be able to pay my mortgage. 

"I feel like I've just been hung out to dry after getting injured working for another company on behalf of WWE. Add to that my contract not being renewed knowing that I wouldn't be able to wrestle for 7 months. This is brutal. 

"Yes they are taking care of the surgery and physical therapy but let's be honest, that's the bare minimum after what we sacrifice for the company. 

"Plus the possibility of having to get my neck fused too.

"Talk about getting totally f*cked."

Holland sustained a Lisfranc foot injury at a TNA taping in September, and the former rugby league player has also noted he may require neck fusion surgery.

WWE had previously not released wrestlers who were injured, but the company have changed their stance in recent years, something which has caused "universal disappointment" amongst the company's roster of wrestlers.
