A huge title change to open the show
We have brand new WWE Raw Tag Team Champions!
The opening match of WWE SummerSlam 2021 saw Randy Orton and Riddle defeat AJ Styles and Omos to claim the Titles in the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.
A back-and-forth opening to the match eventually saw Styles and Omos isolate Riddle, before The Original Bro tagged in the Viper to a huge pop from the live crowd.
As Orton and Styles battled in the ring, Riddle and Omos clashed at ringside, resulting in the former United States Champion driving Omos into the ring post and the barricade. Styles was forced to get involved, hitting an incredible moonsault into a DDT on the outside.
Back in the ring, Styles went for a Phenomenal Forearm, which Orton avoided. Another quick exchange and Orton countered into the RKO, pinning Styles to claim the Titles for his team.
Styles and Omos' reign comes to an end after they defeated The New Day for the Championships at WWE WrestleMania 37 in April.
