Rocky Romero Thinks WWE Have 'Barely Scratched The Surface' With Shinsuke Nakamura

Has Nakamura fulfilled his potential in WWE?

Rocky Romero would love to have Shinsuke Nakamura back in New Japan Pro-Wrestling, even if just for a few matches.

The NJPW liaison believes the King of Strong Style has surpassed Japanese wrestling legend (and recent WWE Hall of Fame inductee) The Great Muta, due to his success overseas. In saying that, Romero doesn't think WWE have come close to showcasing what Nakamura is truly capable of.

Speaking with Comedy Store Wrestling, Romero said:

"Nakamura is probably the most successful Japanese wrestler in North America, WWE specifically. Probably since Muta, even though Muta didn't wrestle for WWE. Muta was super successful in WCW and NWA. I would say Nakamura's probably the next [one or] probably even bigger in a way because the scale is bigger now. But they've barely scratched the surface of what they could do with him".

The former two-time Intercontinental Champion recently returned to SmackDown following a long absence. He was drafted to Raw in the recent WWE Draft.

The 43-year-old has said he wants a world title match, following his return.
