ROH Part Of AEW's Negotiations With WBD Over New TV Deal

AEW TV deal negotiations with WBD to include ROH

Discussions between All Elite Wrestling and Warner Bros. Discovery have been ongoing since late 2023, with many wondering if AEW sister company Ring of Honor would be included in any deal.

Whilst ROH TV episodes air every week on ROH’s HonorClub subscription service, wider distribution via traditional broadcast TV or inclusion onto WBD’s Max streaming service would be far more beneficial to the company. On the pre-Death Before Dishonor media call ROH President Tony Khan confirmed that ROH has been brought up during discussions with WBD:

“Yes. I have had good conversations with Warner Brothers Discovery and Ring of Honor has come up in these conversations, which is exciting. It’s a great time in the wrestling business and AEW and ROH, also, with AEW negotiating a major media rights package and having these in-depth and exciting conversations that we’re having right now with Warner Brothers Discovery. It’s tremendous for ROH to be involved in this. It’s something we have discussed. It’s a great brand. We produce great content weekly and the pay-per-view shows, as well as a great library of historical content and trademarks and IP opportunities. It’s an active conversation now and Ring of Honor is part of the bigger AEW discussions that we’re having,” said Khan.

Former ROH President Cary Silkin recently bemoaned how ROH has been treated since Khan’s takeover.
