Roman Reigns & Cody Rhodes Set For September 20 Episode Of WWE SmackDown
WWE's top two babyfaces will "seek common ground" on this week's SmackDown.
Both Roman Reigns and Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes have been advertised for this week's upcoming episode of SmackDown, as highlighted by F4WOnline.
Their appearance has been billed as the pair "seeking common ground" ahead of a tag match against Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu at the Bad Blood premium live event.
Cody and Roman struck an uneasy alliance at the end of last week's SmackDown, both signing a contract for the match against the Bloodline members. The storyline will surely involve tension between the two babyfaces, with Reigns only recently returning to action after losing the title to Rhodes in the main event of WrestleMania 40.
Bad Blood is set to take place on October 5 in Atlanta, Georgia. The other matches currently announced for the card are:
CM Punk vs. Drew McIntyre - Hell in a Cell
Liv Morgan (c) vs. Rhea Ripley - Women's World Championship
Damian Priest vs. Finn Balor
Nia Jax (c) vs. TBC - WWE Women's Championship
A World Heavyweight Championship match between reigning champion Gunther and challenger Sami Zayn is also reportedly listed internally for the show by WWE.
