A face to face confrontation between Roman Reigns and Goldberg is set for next Friday night's SmackDown, airing less than a day before the two square off in the Universal title match at Elimination Chamber.

Both Reigns and Goldberg appeared in sitdown interviews on Friday's SmackDown with Michael Cole, discussing the upcoming match. Reigns ridiculed Goldberg's run in WCW, saying the company would still be in business if he were there. He ended his part of the interview by promising to "Goldberg Goldberg."

Goldberg, meanwhile, claimed that he's here to stay in WWE, even if some people believe he's made one comeback too many. He vowed to win the belt from Reigns at Elimination Chamber, and then go on to face Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 38.

The February 18 SmackDown was taped in conjunction with Friday night's live broadcast in New Orleans, due to the roster needing to travel to Jeddah for next Saturday's Elimination Chamber pay-per-view. Also announced for the February 18 broadcast is an Intercontinental title match pitting Shinsuke Nakamura against Sami Zayn.
