Roman Reigns is set to defend his Undisputed WWE Universal Championship against Cody Rhodes on Night Two of WrestleMania 40, and he isn’t missing a chance to throw some shots in his opponent’s way. Reigns was a guest on a live edition of the Pat McAfee Show, and he covered a range of topics.

When talking about his own personal story and journey in WWE, he spoke on how everything works around him, including Cody Rhodes’ comeback to the promotion.

Everybody's story revolves around me. [Cody] is one of many trying to tie this thing up. At the end of the day, he's just a chapter in the big book. This thing started in August 2020 when I came back and told the whole world that I was the Head of the Table and the head of the greatest wrestling dynasty to ever exist. We have done so many great things. There is a magnetism. You [McAfee] got pulled in. Same thing with Cody. He was off doing who cares, a whole lot of nothing, he saw what we were doing in WWE and he wanted to be part of that. Hollywood, Dwayne, saw what we were doing. I'm the only guy that didn't have to go to Hollywood. Hollywood came to me.”

Reigns is of course referring to Rhodes’ time on the independents and starting up AEW when saying “a whole lot of nothing”. Rhodes left AEW in 2022, joining WWE a few months later.
