Josh Barnett Reveals Other Top Stars From WWE & AEW He's Reached Out To For Bloodsport
Josh Barnett has inquired about multiple names for Bloodsport
It was announced last week that WWE superstar Shayna Baszler would be competing for Game Changer Wrestling at Josh Barnett’s Bloodsport over WrestleMania 40 week in Philadelphia, and she is set to do battle with Masha Slamovich of TNA. Reports revealed that Barnett reached out to Triple H directly to work with WWE, though this wasn’t the first time he’d reached out to try and get top stars, with Marina Shafir being someone who he’d inquired about in the past.
When speaking on the Under The Ring podcast, Barnett said that he’d reached out to a selection of other names too such as WWE’s CM Punk and AEW’s Malakai Black, citing their respective mixed martial arts backgrounds as reasons why they’d be perfect for the Bloodsport style.
Barnett also touched upon other WWE and AEW talent that he’d like to see at Bloodsport, suggesting names like Chad Gable, Bron Breakker, and Miro as those he would book. It was reported that Baszler wasn’t the only WWE name set for the show, though no other wrestlers have been announced as of yet.
