WWE Vs. TNA Match Set For Josh Barnett's Bloodsport X

Josh Barnett's Bloodsport X on April 4 will see a WWE talent go one-on-one with a wrestler from TNA.

It was announced over the weekend that Shayna Baszler will work Bloodsport X in a rare outside booking for a contracted WWE talent. The booking reportedly came together after Josh Barnett reached out to Triple H, something he had done in the past in the hopes of getting WWE talents on Bloodsport. 

Baszler's opponent was not initially revealed but Josh Barnett has since announced the former WWE Women's Tag Team Champion will face Masha Slamovich. 

In a video announcing the match, Barnett stated: "In a place like Josh Barnett's: Bloodsport, when a name like Shayna Baszler is announced it's like blood in the water of an ocean of nothing but sharks. One voice stood out loudest and proudest of all. A voice with a tenor of authority from her accomplishments and tone of pure violence. In the end, I could not deny her request..."

Slamovich has been a part of TNA since 2021. She is a two-time Knockouts World Tag Team Champion. Slamovich is also a former GCW World Champion and she is the reigning JCW World Champion. 

Following Baszler's Bloodsport booking, the belief is other indy promotions will be looking to book WWE wrestlers moving forward.
