Roman Reigns Vs. Rey Mysterio Official For WWE Hell In A Cell

Inside the namesake cage

A match pitting Universal champion Roman Reigns against Rey Mysterio for Hell in a Cell is now official, following the closing segment of Friday night's SmackDown.

Mysterio called Reigns out to the ring, after noting that the champion disrespected his family. When Reigns turned up, Mysterio laid out his case for a title match, and challenged Reigns for the belt, inside Hell in a Cell.

When Reigns began to respond, Mysterio suddenly attacked with a kendo stick. The two fought back and forth before Rey's son Dominik attacked Reigns with the kendo stick.

Reigns soon overpowered Dominik, and sent him over the top rope with a powerbomb. The show went off air with Rey and officials tending to Dominik while Reigns stood over them.

The current card for WWE Hell in a Cell, taking place Sunday, June 20 from the Yuengling Center in Tampa, is as follows:

* WWE World/Hell in a Cell: Bobby Lashley (c) vs. Drew McIntyre (if Mcintyre loses, he cannot challenge for the title again as long as Lashley is champion)

* WWE Universal/Hell in a Cell: Roman Reigns (c) vs. Rey Mysterio

* Raw Women's: Rhea Ripley (c) vs. Charlotte Flair

* SmackDown Women's: Bianca Belair (c) vs. Bayley
