Ronda Rousey, Sasha Banks React To NWA EmPowerrr
NWA’s first all female PPV was a historic night for the brand
After the success of WWE’s Evolution PPV in 2018, fans have been clamouring for more all women’s events in American wrestling.
The NWA obliged, hosting the first all-women’s PPV in company history this past weekend - EmPowerrr - and the show was deemed a his by fans and fellow professional wrestlers alike.
Interestingly, two of the featured performers of WWE Evolution were vocal in their support of EmPowerrr online, with Ronda Rousey and Sasha Banks giving glowing reviews of the show on Twitter.
Rousey in particular was vocal in her support throughout the night, saying:
“Holy frickin moley those ladies had such a hard match to follow and not only maintained he momentum of the night, but accelerated it — btw @Thee_Red_Velvet still managing to stand out amongst everyone, kicking all kinds of ass was so damn impressive. #EMPOWERRR”
After the show ended Rousey said she’d have gladly paid double to watch the PPV:
“What a PPV! So worth the money — I honestly would have paid double. Congrats @ImChelseaGreen and all the ladies who put on an amazing show tonight.”
Sasha Banks too was vocal in her support of the show, Tweeting:
“Thank you @MickieJames [blue heart and fire emojis]”
