On March 28 after WWE SmackDown from London's O2 Arena, Drew McIntyre tweeted that the segment between himself and Damian Priest used real glass, claiming he got some of it in his eye.

Priest hit McIntyre with a chokeslam through a car windshield on the show, after Drew had defeated Randy Orton earlier in the night.

However, after speaking with several WWE sources, PWInsider ascertained that, while The Scottish Warrior did receive treatment at the scene to have something cleared from his eye, it was determined not to be glass.

They were also told that McIntyre was checked out by WWE's doctors before leaving SmackDown.

The former WWE Champion did wear an eyepatch backstage after the angle was over and was telling people that glass was removed from his eye, according to the report.

McIntyre was not present at WWE's live event in Austria a day later, though he was never scheduled to be there so it was not a case of WWE pulling him from the show due to injury.

The match is not yet official, but Drew looks set to clash with Priest at WrestleMania 41. McIntyre has been open with his frustration at not being booked in a world title match on the show.
