After legendary boxer George Foreman passed away on March 21, an old story did the rounds claiming that two-time WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan missed out on a grill sponsorship that ultimately became the George Foreman Grill.

The story, according to The Hulkster, is that he was out picking his young kids up from school and missed a call from his agent offering him a choice between a grill and a blender. When Hogan checked his answering machine and called back, the grill had been offered to Foreman and he was stuck with the blender, theoretically missing out on tens of millions of dollars.

While The Hulk Hogan Thunder Mixer did hit shelves in the mid-90s, his account of being offered the grill has been disputed.

And now Pablo Torre on Pablo Torre Finds Out has got the real story, brothers, saying:

"We went to the grill's inventor Michael Boehm and his family issued a statement to us. They dispute the Hulkster's cataloguing of events. 'George Foreman was the only celebrity our dad approached about endorsing the grill. We don't know who started the story about Hulk Hogan being approached but it isn't accurate'. The agent Hulk Hogan cited was a guy named Sam. He repped Hulk Hogan and George Foreman. Unfortunately, Sam passed away last fall, but they shared a lawyer. The lawyer is a guy named Henry Holmes and he told us, 'The Hulk Hogan story is not my recollection. In fact, it was two other celebrities sharing representation that their agent was asking about'".

Per Holmes, the two other celebrities considered were Pamela Anderson and Chuck Norris.

These days, Hogan is hawking his Real American Beer, which WWE are minority owners of. Hogan and Real American Beer were sued in February.
