Jon Moxley was not in action at Sunday's WrestleDream pay-per-view, although many fans enjoyed his time at the commentary table throughout the show on October 1.

Moxley was originally scheduled to perform at WrestleDream but he suffered a minor concussion at Dynamite Grand Slam on September 20 during his International Title match against Rey Fenix. Such was Moxley's condition that he called an audible for Fenix to win the title.

The audible caused a post-match angle to be scrapped as a non-AEW wrestler was originally scheduled to confront Moxley to set up an International Title match at WrestleDream. An initial report from Bodyslam.net claimed "Filthy" Tom Lawlor was going to be Moxley's opponent at WrestleDream but Fightful Select has since disputed this, reporting that neither Tom Lawlor or Josh Barnett were going to face Moxley.

Moxley's opponent was going to be from NJPW, but who exactly it was going to be is unknown once again.

As of last week's AEW Dynamite, Moxley had not been cleared for an in-ring return. The nature of concussions means there is no set timetable on when he will be back in the ring.
