Rumour Killer On The Rock's Claims About WWE's Supposed Plan For Cody Rhodes

Despite The Rock's claims on the Pat McAfee Show, the current plan within WWE isn't for Cody Rhodes to have another run with the Undisputed WWE Champion as a babyface followed by a heel turn.

That is according to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, who reported:

"He also said that Cody Rhodes was going to have another great run as a babyface and win the world title, and then eventually he would go heel. I was told on that one that is not the plan. It could happen, and he could probably even force it, but nobody is under the impression that that is the thing and where they are going."

While explaining why he didn't appear at WrestleMania 41, Dwayne Johnson stated on the Pat McAfee Show that he is a supporter of Cody Rhodes eventually turning heel, and he believes the storyline of 'The Final Boss' wanting Rhodes' soul provides the basis for that heel turn. Johnson then stated that if done right, Rhodes has another run as a babyface champion before turning heel.

"So if done right and finessed right and if nuanced right, down the road, that guy not only has an incredible babyface run again as champion but also an unheard run as a heel down the road," Johnson said.
