Sammy Guevara Out Of Action With Concussion

Sammy Guevara is dealing with a concussion

The nature of Sammy Guevara's injury has been revealed.

It was announced on the October 4 edition of AEW Dynamite that Guevara would not be able to wrestle in his planned tag team match alongside Konosuke Takeshita against Kenny Omega and Chris Jericho due to him not being medically cleared.

Dave Meltzer has since reported on Wrestling Observer Radio that Guevara is on the shelf with a concussion he suffered at Sunday's WrestleDream pay-per-view. When Guevara will return to the ring is unknown due to the nature of concussions.

"Sammy got a concussion on the pay-per-view, is what happened. So he's out until... It's a concussion story, could be next week, could be who knows? But yeah, he's out," Meltzer said.

Guevara was replaced on Dynamite by Kyle Fletcher. Chris Jericho and Kenny Omega ultimately won the match but they didn't have time to celebrate as they were laid out by the newest member of the Don Callis Family in Powerhouse Hobbs post-match.

Guevara teamed with Will Ospreay and Konosuke Takeshita to defeat The Golden Jets of Kenny Omega, Chris Jericho, and Kota Ibushi at WrestleDream on October 1. Sammy picked up the win for his team, pinning Chris Jericho.
