Sammy Guevara's AEW Return Delayed

Guevara is expected back after the birth of his and Tay Melo's first child.

AEW star Sammy Guevara's return to the promotion has been delayed.

According to the most recent edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Guevara and his wife (and fellow AEW star) Tay Melo are anticipating the birth of their first child any day now.

Guevara and Melo announced that they were expecting their first child prior to his match at Double or Nothing (on May 28)

Dave Meltzer noted that Sammy will return once Tay gives birth, now that it is believed he has recovered from post-concussion issues.

Just yesterday, Melo took to X to tweet about her prolonged pregnancy, writing: "I don't know how but yes, I [am] still pregnant. Even my doctor is in disbelief. Happy thanksgiving"

Guevara last wrestled at AEW WrestleDream on October 10, where he teamed with Will Ospreay and Konosuke Takeshita to defeat Chris Jericho, Kenny Omega and Kota Ibushi.

The three-time TNT Champion suffered a concussion during the bout.

Sammy's friend (and former AEW star) Fuego Del Sol recently revealed that the 30-year-old was feeling much better and planned on coming back in a major way.
