Samoa Joe: Vince McMahon Is "Heavily Invested" In WWE NXT

Vince thinks NXT is the future, according to Joe

Vince McMahon is "heavily invested" in NXT, according to Samoa Joe.

NXT was presented as WWE's third brand during much of the Wednesday Night Wars, but the black and gold brand has since moved to Tuesdays and WWE President Nick Khan confirmed a complete revamp of the show is in the works.

Vince McMahon has remained distant from NXT in recent years and he has very much left the show in the hands of Triple H. Despite this, Samoa Joe believes the WWE chairman is "heavily invested" in the developmental brand.

"I think [Vince McMahon] perceives [NXT] as the future of his company. I think he's heavily invested in it. It's funny, I read all this stuff that I hear from people and then, at the same time, he's probably the biggest proponent of its existence and much of what has happened thus far," Joe told So Catch.

"NXT is the future of WWE and it's a big reason why I'm excited to be associated with it because I get to delve into the future and I get to work on new things and new projects and introducing new stars to the world and that's something that, at this point in my career, I'm very excited to do."

Samoa Joe is currently a big part of NXT and he became the first three-time NXT Champion at TakeOver 36 on Sunday.
