Samoa Joe Vs. Mark Briscoe Official For ROH Supercard Of Honor 16

Samoa Joe will face Mark Briscoe at ROH Supercard of Honor 16

We are just a few weeks away from Ring of Honor’s first PPV event of 2023, with Supercard of Honor XVI set for March 31.

As announced on the March 16 edition of ROH TV on HonorClub, ‘The King of Television’ Samoa Joe will put the ROH World Television Championship on the line at the event, facing off against ROH World Tag Team Champion Mark Briscoe.

Joe threw out a challenge on an earlier episode of ROH TV which was answered by the ‘Sussex County Chicken’, with ROH making the match official on the March 16 show. The former ROH World Champion has been in possession of the TV Championship for nearly a year, having defeated Minoru Suzuki for the strap on the April 13, 2022 edition of AEW Dynamite.

Elsewhere on ROH TV, ROH Women’s World Champion Athena challenged Yuka Sakazaki to match at Supercard of Honor, with Athena claiming the ‘Magical Girl’ was afraid of her during a backstage interview with Lexy Nair. It remains to be seen if Sakazaki will accept the champ’s challenge.

Confirmed so far for ROH Supercard of Honor XVI - March 31, 2023:

  • Samoa Joe (c) vs. Mark Briscoe - ROH World Television Championship
  • Lucha Bros vs. TBA - ROH World Tag Team Championship ‘Reach for the Sky’ Ladder Match
