SANADA Thinks New Generation Of NJPW Talent Lacks Sex Appeal

SANADA has given his opinion on the new generation of NJPW talent

New Japan Pro Wrestling have got an eye on the future, recently dubbing Yota Tsuji, Ren Narita, and Yota Tsuji as the Reiwa Three Musketeers.

Whilst bestowing the Three Musketeers moniker on the talents is massive honour and sign of things to come, current IWGP World Heavyweight Champion SANADA thinks the trio lack ‘sex appeal’, saying the following to Rolling Stone Japan (translation via Google):

"I have high expectations for the Three Musketeers… I really have high expectations for them. They are the future of New Japan Pro-Wrestling. Yes, that’s right (I am going to show the difference between them & I). That generation still lacks sex appeal. Well, it can’t be helped in terms of their careers. I feel there is a difference. I feel that sex appeal is more important than how well they play the game. It’s more about attracting attention. I think that’s why there are no popular guys in that generation," SANADA said.

The Reiwa Three Musketeers are the third trio to be dubbed Musketeers in NJPW history, following on from Shinsuke Nakamura, Kasuyori Shibata, and Hiroshi Tanahashi, and the original legendary Three Musketeers Shinya Hashimoto, Masahiro Chono, and Keiji Muto.
